What can you expect?
After scheduling an appointment, the examination process will be preformed at the agreed upon location. (store, home, office, bank, attorney’s office) All necessary gemological equipment will be in hand to conduct a thorough examination including quality, measurements, identification, and photographs. Once the information is collected, all necessary research required to insure the most accurate appraisal value is done, the appraisal report will be written and an PDF copy will be emailed to you within a week of the examination date unless otherwise notified.
How much does a jewelry appraisal cost?
Insurance appraisals start at $150 each item with the exception of more complex items or luxury watches. Estate Appraisals start at $300 an hour billed in half hour increments with a minimum of one hour.
Are your appraisals accepted by insurance companies?
Yes, our appraisals are accepted by all major insurance companies. We provide detailed and comprehensive reports that include all the necessary information needed for insurance purposes.
How often should I have my jewelry appraised and why?
Due to the ever changing value of precious metals and gemstones it is important to have your jewelry appraisals updated every 2-3 years to insure you are properly covered in the event of a loss. Updates start at $90.
